Community Information Centre:   CIC, a Central govt. Project under Ministry of Information technology has been started in all the blocks of Bongaigaon District from 1st August 2002 with an objective to establish IT infrastructure at Block levels and to  create IT awareness amongst the local populace who are living at remote areas .The  project with 6 blocks [Dangtol, Boitamari, Borobazar, Manikpur, Srijangram, Tapatary] of this district was inaugurated on 17th August 2002.For smooth functioning of the CIC's, a District Level Coordination Committee has been formed under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon.
